I think I may have found the issue, the little 45° mirror inside the housing was a bit loose/sliding around. Secured it with some good old double sided tape. Diving this evening so fingers crossed!
Having a strange issue with my Nauticam / Canon 5Diii setup. And I can't seem to replicate it on dry land. The trigger stops firing when the camera is horizontal and level underwater. If i tilt the camera up or down the trigger fires and, it works with the camera in portrait.. just not flat and level. It's not the fibre as I unplugged these to see the red leds firing. Not sure if it's an issue with the camera, the hot shoe or the trigger itself. Anyone ever heard of this issue?
Hey everyone, Just back from a dive this evening and had an issue with one of my YS-D3 MKIIs. It seems to only be firing at full power, setting the dial isn't changing the strobe output. Strobe is set in manual mode. Strobe is about a year old, maybe 70ish dives so far. Any ideas?
I'm an experienced diver and underwater photographer from Ireland. I love wide angle, passion from trying to capture the amazing underwater landscape the west coast of Ireland has to offer.. just starting to get into full frame macro.
