About Me
I’m Peter Hutchins, an underwater and coastal photographer based in Australia. Most of my work focuses on the marine life found along the east coast of New South Wales—green sea turtles, seahorses, fur seals, and the occasional penguin or cuttlefish. I spend a lot of time in the water, usually freediving with a camera in hand, trying to capture the small moments that often go unnoticed.
Photography started as a creative outlet but quickly became a way for me to share my connection with the ocean and encourage others to care about it too.
When I’m not in the water, I’m usually editing, writing, or planning the next dive trip.
