About Me
About Me:

Hello I am a new member who lives in Temecula, California.

I have been actively diving since 1966. I am a self taught photographer who started with a Nikonos and a hand held flash unit. In the mid 1970's I moved to a DSLR ( Canon F1 and Ikelite housings with Subsea and Ikelite 150 D strobes) everything manual and no AF. Later I moved up to Nikon 8008s in Tussey Housing with SB 24 strobes followed by a Nikon F5 in a Aquatica housing with SB 105 strobes. In the digital era I started with a Nikon D200 followed by a 300s and later D810 and D 500 they were in both Aquatica and Nauticam housings. I have recently moved into the Sony Mirrorless ( A7R4, A6600) in Nauticam Housings. I also like using their water contact optics so I have the WW1, WWL1 . I also use fisheye and macro optics . I still like using my Nikons depending on the situation. Most of my strobes are now Inon.

As far as diving experience most has been in the Western Pacific. I have extensive experience diving Hawaii, Wake Is, Okinawa and Taiwan but that is dated most prior to 1987. Lately since then, I have dived Sipadan ( when resorts were still on the island), Indonesia ( Bali, Wakatobi and the Banda Sea), Palau and Yap. Currently for the past year I have been on hiatus from health issues but I hope to be back in the swing of things in 2025
