Here's my favorite shot of the year. During a long underwater swim back to shore after having explored the main attraction at a local dive site, my buddy and I came across several of these Aleutian Moonsnails. We took a few shots of them and some neighboring nudiranchs before continuing our trip back to shore. I didn't think much of it at the time, my mind split between the main dive site and the annoying amount of water between us and shore. In reviewing shots from the dive, this was one of the only few keepers from the dive. And, as it turns out, my favorite from 2023.
