  1. Our new video showcases the incredible biodiversity of Tulamben in Bali, Indonesia. We capture stunning footage of frogfish, nudibranchs, and other fascinating critters, but the real challenge was capturing super macro nudibranchs, like the tiny "Shaun the Sheep." See how we achieved extreme magnification by stacking three diopters (+6, +5, and +10) to reveal these miniature marvels. Please note that this is an HDR video and it is best to watch it on HDR-compatible TVs, monitors, tables or phones. 2. Thank you for your comment about wide angle. Regarding footage with dolphins, Mola Mola and whales, unfortunately, they were not good enough to include in the video.
  3. This video captures the stunning diving we experienced during our two-week stay at the Alami Alor Dive & Snorkel Resort (Sept-Oct 2024) in Alor, Indonesia. Despite the long journey from Toronto (four flights!), Alor's pristine reefs and diverse marine life make it worth the trip. Explore vibrant reefs, encounter unique critters (frogfish, rhinopias, mantis shrimp, and more!), and get a taste of what makes Alor a hidden gem for divers and snorkelers. While we were fortunate to also see Mola Mola, whales, and dolphins during our trip, those sightings are not included in this video. In general, the visibility was excellent and water was warm (around 28°C), though some dives had cooler water (22-24°C). The Alami Alor Dive & Snorkel Resort has comfortable accommodations, excellent management, and professional dive operation. The camera room is spacious and very well equipped as well. Please note that this is an HDR video and it is best to watch it on HDR-compatible TVs, monitors, tables or phones. If you have any inquiries about the video or resorts we stayed at, please feel free to leave a comment below. 4. Many thanks for your kind comments, scipionems! I am glad you liked my videos. More to come shortly: Alor, Tulamben and Amed. I hope you will like them too. Happy New Year! Val
  5. Thank you, Ben. It is true that there are a lot of construction activities in Amed, and it is very busy with divers.
  6. This video depicts our captivating journey through Bali's diverse landscapes, both above and below the water's surface. It explores the vibrant Ubud, tranquil Munduk, renowned Tulamben, and the hidden gem Amed. Originally intended for friends and family, I've decided to share this experience with fellow scuba divers, showcasing how to seamlessly blend land adventures with underwater explorations. Please note that this is an HDR video and it is best to watch it on HDR-compatible TVs, monitors, tables or phones. Our Journey: Ubud: We stayed at The Kayan Resort, serving as a base to explore the region. Travel between Ubud and Munduk: We ventured into the scenic Jatiluwih Rice Terraces and the serene Ulun Danu Beratan Temple. Munduk: At Munduk Moding Plantation Resort, we immersed ourselves in nature, trekking to Munduk waterfalls, interacting with a local farmer's family, and indulging in a coffee plantation tour. Tulamben: Bali Dive Resort provided comfortable accommodations and an exceptional dive center. Tulamben's renowned muck and macro diving sites were a highlight. Amed: We enjoyed our stay at Puri Wirata Dive Resort. Amed is a popular destination for beginner and occasional scuba divers. However, it also boasts several excellent dive sites, including: Coral Gardens at the Japanese Wreck Bunutan Pyramids Wall Jemeluk Wall These four sites are best explored by boat. Additionally, Melasti is a renowned muck/macro dive site. I personally enjoyed exploring all five of these sites. Dive Insights:I'll be releasing a dedicated video showcasing the best Amed’s dive sites in detail, so you can visualize what to expect. For an enriching dive experience in Amed, I recommend exploring each site at least twice, allowing 4-7 days for a trip to Amed. 7. Thank you, Maria. We are going to RA again just after New Year. If you are looking for the next one, how about this one that I just published yesterday?
  8. What the products are more interesting to you? I am looking for a super macro diopter.
