New Nikon D2x site

5 posts
  1. With all the buzz about the shiny new 5D, here is something that Nikon made available online today about the good old D2x:

    http://nikonimaging.com/global/products/d2x/

    From the site:

"The D2x special site opens on October 5, 2005. The site features 10 professional photographers from around the globe, and introduces their stunning images produced with the D2x and their views on the camera. Now you meet four great photographers. You will meet two new photographers every week. The site also introduces in-depth advantages of the D2x that works as a whole for every professional photographer."

  2. Interesting Luiz!

A bit flawed tho - cause neither you nor Alex are featured in the photographers section. I guess there is a seastar shot by Mr Shaw...

  3. Na! It's gonna take a loooong time for nikon to notice my work (if ever). Alex on the other hand should be there!

  4. Too modest Luiz!

  5. It didn't make me want to buy one. And I am actually in the market for one (more) of these cameras at some point!

The quote I think sums it up best was on the news announcement on Rob Galbraith "The Flash-heavy web site includes features on four photographers (with six more to come in the weeks ahead) and light technical information on Nikon's 12.21 million image pixel digital SLR camera". Not a glowing review!

    Alex

I am surprised Nikon are still advertising this camera - they have sold a serious number already. I bet they are struggling to keep up. This camera has proved hugely popular with underwater shooters (particularly the older pros - who have taken it as the camera to switch from slide). I already know about 4-5 times as many people shooting the big Nikon compared with those shooting the big Canons underwater (although I admit that probably has something to do with me having this camera too).
