Canon 5D in Sea & Sea D30/60

  1. I just got the Canon 5D. I had (have) the D60 and Sea & Sea.

It fits in the housing...without modification looks like access to the shutter release, top wheel.

With minor modification can probably get the back wheel and camera mode knob working.

Looks like none of the buttons on the back will work, nor the ones on top

With some modification you can probably get the print button to work where the on/off switch is on the D60. ;)

I'll play with it this weekend in the pool and see what it can do.

  2. Did you have to modify the mounting bracket? you may find that it fits better with a customized mounting bracket (similar to what works for the 20d in the d60 housing)

  3. Great news.

Getting new buttons put in is not that big a job.

  4. I wonder if the button alignment might be closer for those of us with 10D housings.

  5. I would be interested in knowing that... I have a 5D and my old 10D. I do not relish the idea of having to get another 5D as a backup if I can find a way to get the 10D working in a 5D enclosure.
