I am a fairly accomplished digital photographer but have remained with film for underwater photog. I am now looking to go digital underwater. I use a Nikon D100 but do not want to spend the expense for a D100 housing. I also use a SONY DSC V3 as a back-up. Does anyone have any information on the Ikelite housing? A user review I read elsewhaere took it to task for being unable to allow manual stteings with the jog dial, i.e., the pressure interfered with proper operation.

The knob is always touching the camera dial and rotating the knob willl change the setting, but knob must be pulled back and rotated placing the bump (indicated by white dot on knob) over the dial so dial can be pushed in. My memory fails me here because I don't remember what pushing the dial accomplishes. Believe pushing it switches from shutter speed to aperture values. These jog dials are not a desireable feature underwater, but joy stick controls on some of the cameras are even worse.

Thanks, Sargos, for urging a response. To be fair I did make back channel contact with ike who provided the information in the foregoing response.
