Marine Iconography of the Philippine Archipelago

  1. Hi All,

We are in the process of making a Marine Iconography of all Marine Life of the Philippines. We have a website http://www.poppe-images.com which has currenlty over 14.500 photos. Each picture is documented with scientific information, date and dive location.

The website has now: 2470 species online in 448 families. This includes, corals, sponges, nudibranches, molluscs, fishes and much more.

Today we have done over 550 dives in a 2 year periode. Now we are doing an average of 4 to 6 dives a week in the Visaya region of the Philippines with our boat Guphil I. You can read all about it in our expeditions section of our website.

We are looking for scientific collaborators who could help us with the determination and correction of the images we have online. Other commens are also welcome.

    Enjoy the website.

    Kind regards

    Philippe & Guido Poppe
