Dugong

  1. One of many pictures from yesterdays diving with the dugong in Marsa Abu Dabab. I had a friend with me that used an external flash in slave mode that I of course triggered when I took my pictures.

What do you think? Is it disturbing or not with the flash in the background?

  2. I'm not sure... The flash does look blown out, but it is a very nice picture. Do you have any without the flash?

  3. I want to see a Dugong!!!!

I think the flash is a bit overpowered, would be better if the flash was on the lowest setting and turned off to the side a little, that way you could see the outline of the diver

  4. Here´s one without the extra flash

  5. And another one...

  6. You're a lucky guy Pedda.

I'm happy when I can spend a week a year doing liveaboard on MV... ;)

Do you live in MV :(

By the way: the parasite on the back of the dugong is a remora? same as manta's?

I think I've been in the same spot last Sep (Um El Rour Port Galib) but the only dugong I've seen was a bit strange as you can see in the attached photo... :D
