Bahamas Shark Expedition, Dec 12-21

  1. Hey, guys. Jim Abernethy's Scuba Adventures just had 4 cancellations for a shark expedition this December 12-21, 2005. They are offering a half-price special because the cancellations were last-minute! Total price is $1200, instead of $2500. For more information, please call them at 888-901-3483. Tell them that you heard about the deal from Wetpixel.

I've been on a few of these trips:

  2. I have not been, but am really looking forward to going. This trip is a must for photographers and offers the chance for some really great images (especially if you give talks at schools - kids love sharks)!

It is a good place for a bit of Magic too. See these images from a recent Digideep trip there from a week ago:

  3. If I wasn't leaving on the 31st of December I would have considered this one again. :(

Love the results with the Magic Filter! I find the biggest problem can be the particles in the water on these dives but with no strobe light that certainly helps eliminate that issue.

  4. Alex, thanks for posting that link. I am booked on Eric's March 2006 Tiger Shark trip and figured the Magic Filter I have for the 10.5 lens would likely work very well given the depth and if the sun was shining. Looks very promising...

  5. Eric--I am going on one of the shark trips with JASA. Any special advice for shooting on this trip.
