I would assume it's summer time? Since there will be plenty of sunshine through water making shadows which is good for photography, am I right?

Best Season to photo Bahamas dolphins?

I would generally agree with that. But, Mother nature sometimes has her own ideas.

I have been twice. Once in the summer time a number of years ago on a trip just for snorkeling with dolphins--thats all we did(before I could even dive!) and we had a lot of success.
I went again in summer on the Peter Hughes Wind Dancer on the same Little Bahama Bank. The time was split between searching for dolphings and diving. We saww 0 dolphins, but the diving was great...
So i guess id agree that mother nature has her own plans.

Thanks guys, does it rain a lot during summer in Bahamas?
-
The Dolphin Communication Project through the Oceanic Society (the group I went with) no longer offers trips.
They go to Japan May-June and Bahamas June-September almost every year, so I would guess that is probably the best time to see them..
As for rain I can't really remember to be honest except it did poor at night, but I can't remember it effecting us during the day.
Here is another trip that does these dolphin trips.... the summer is the most expensive time, perhaps becasue its the best? Or it could just be because thats when most people go. If I were you I would probably contact them or whoever you plan to be diving with.
