  1. I am thinking of getting the Aquarian housing made by Inner Space Developments http://www.isdsa.co.za/ for my Sony VX2000. Has anybody got one of these housings and what do you think of them.

    Thanks in anticipation.

Definitions of za on the Web:

.za is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for South Africa. It is administered by the UNINET Project.

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.za

there was more info looking under AQUARIAN housing; but alas, just 1 page from JMD technologies

In 1990 Inner Space Developments started the development of the first video housing and The EXPLORER was introduced to the South African market 2 years later.

They currently have a full research and development section doing prototyping for medical research and low volume manufacturing, and they cater for the professional and domestic market from Digital Betacam to the Sony PC 100 digital video camera.

Their housings are electronic and have been described as "The only choice" and "Very well thought through".

i thought they were magicians at JMD because it sounded like like they had found a way to bring fire underwater, and you can imagine my disappointment at finding nothing but dive lights.... (get it? diving TORCHES? FLAME... FIRE.... oh never mind)

but alas, the trail goes cold from this point.

being similiar in design to popular USVH housings they do have delighful 2.5 monitor standard on all models so that's a plus

  4. Not sure what the relationship is between JMD and InnerSpace, are they a distributor?

They have exactly the same info as on the ISD webpage:

    http://www.isdsa.co.za/products.htm

Looks to be a well-built housing. If you read the company history, it appears that they've had some financial difficulties lately that may affect future service issues.
