Green Turtle

Taken during a trip to Sipadan in Malaysia.

I started taking photos underwater in July after a visit to the Red Sea. I don't have a camera as yet I have only hired them (Motormarine 2's from my local dive shop).

I am thinking of buying a digital camera later this month and this is what brought me to this site.

Hope the photographs are worthy of some critism either way.

Beautiful colors! I've never seen a turtle this colorful. I think this a situation where an additional strobe would have helped. With two strobes the lighting could have been made to look softer without the harsh shadows.

Horses for courses I think. What herb is saying is true but I like the 3D quality of the head enhanced by the dark shadow.

This turtle was sleepy on the top of a shelf during the afternoon, it stood out even without the flashlight. I was surprised how colourful myself on the slides.
