Scorpion, take 2

  1. In an older post I showed some pics on my first UW try with the D70.

Included was a shot of a scorpion that was not completely in focus because I was missing the diopter and had to focus manually.

Here's take 2, and if you look closely, you can see me reflected in the eye :)

  2. There's definately improvement here. It looks like you could use a PS tweak. The pic is a little washed out, probably because of that white sand negative space. It's also probable that you need to play with strobe angle to place less emphasis on the sand...and I know, sometimes that's impossible to do :) Here is your pic with a little PS tweak. Took me 2 minutes. I have my crappy laptop with me on the road so the colors may look like sh_P if you know what I mean.

  3. Great improvement Pieter. The isolation of the fish provides much greater impact. If you get the chance to shoot again try getting him/her to about a 30 degree angle instead of sideways, again this will increase the impact of your photo

  4. I guess I'll just have to try again..

I knew buying a housing for the D70 was a good investment, now I have even more reasons to have to go on hollidays. B)
