Apple's 20" Monitor

  1. I just received a new 20" monitor from Apple. I'm running this from a 1GHz 12" Powerbook and have to say that it is the nicest monitor that I have used for a very long time and make the old 17" look somewhat dated. I'm very impressed!

  2. Definitely have to concur with you pgk, I was in an Apple store recently and the 20" and 23" cinema displays were jaw dropping stunning :-)!

Looks better than most tv's out there in fact, just beautiful.

  3. I purchased a 21 inch View Sonic (PC) and it is dynamite. The level of editing power at that size and resolution (digital) is awesome. It may not compare to the MAC, but it is far better than my crappy old 15 inch, 10 year old faded one I had prior.

  4. I have been using a 23" HD monitor as display monitor for trade shows and as a plugin on my desktop - simply sensational. The only thing better is dual 30's.

    That is another story.

  5. As Paul states and echoing another dedicated Mac user's perception, I have the 20" iMAC G5 computer which has 1680 X 1050 resolution simliar to Apple's 20" monitor. It is simply stunning!

The 23" monitor sports a bit more res, but using my 20" for months has spoiled me for photo editing.

Plus they keep dropping theprice as they speed up the dang new iMacs....Throw in an extra 1GB RAM up to 1.5 GB and you have a screaming editing machine :)

    YMMV

  6. Has anyone compare the Apple 20" to Dell Ultrasharp 2005FPW 20" LCD monitor? My impression is that both use the same LCD manufactured by LG. Apple just have a nicer package (well, unless you like black monitor then Dell is it :) ).

  7. That figures... LG makes just about everything.

    Cheers

  8. Love my G/5 Imac's 20 inch screen.. Macs are the best. I'm on my 3rd in 10 years. Never had any trouble-ever. Mark
