I've been using TLC arms for as long as they have been around -even have a few early pro typs from the orginal owner-well that's another story. I'm wondering is the ultra lites are as good? I do know they are much lighter. Are they as tough and as strong?? The bigger ike 200's on 2 foot arms really get out there -and are heavy. I realize just about any arm works for macro.Whats your experiences?? Mark

I use both TLC and ULCS arms, and find them both to work well. I use the 16" ULCS arms (not quite 2') with the SS200, and have no issues. I do prefer the ULCS clamps over the TLC, though, if only because they're much smaller (and that counts when you pack a couple of dozens), and never lock up (add some issues with TLC clamps recently)..
