Took these on the other day (26th Dec) would like to know some honest coments on them please. Lionfish was at about 20m, I was using a Canon G3 in Ike housing.

Verry nice, 3 is my favourite. I love the lighting and the blues in the pics.
Number 3 is my favorite too. I think #1 and 2 are a bit overexposed and have some distracting foreground on them. #3 would be perfect if there was only blue water around the lionfish, but it is great anyways.

I agre with the other guys that number 3 is the best one. But maybe you should try to clone some of the coral away.
Yep, nice tight composition, i like that. First one a touch overexposed, third one i also agree as best as i like the angle it is coming at you as opposed to #2 which is flat to the side. Good job on getting a nice blue background
Thanks for the coments guys. Have made a quick change to the 3rd.

Quick change?!?! Damn, thats pretty good, no more coral....
Was that just the clone stamp tool?
Impressive
Used the pen tool to make a selection around the coral then used the Clone stamp to remove it. Small touch up with the healing brush, to make the colors match. Used Photoshop CS, not an expert but know a few tools.
Origanal had small amount of backscatter removed from the blue water using healing brush, apart from that, it was straight out of camera.

Looks outstanding now!

I like all the shots they are great, I might have grabbed a couple with a smaller depth of field to make the face pop out a little. You could blur the back part of the fish in P.S. and see how it looks. Number 1 is the most obvious as the rear stripes are a bit too sharp when looking at the face. Of course I am monday morn quarterback it is tough to see and do this U.W. but trying a few pics arround 2.8 to 3.5 might give you that sharp face look, and out of focus rear back and fins. I liked the coral in number three with the exception of the one in the front it adds a little something to the pic(it does also look good it without, tough call)
