what are the restrictions imposed by air mike when travelling from mnl to yap?
can i get away with a lowepro backpack (with camera stuff) and a wheelie bag (with housing and strobe stuff)? (i'll be travelling on their international business class).
and how tough are they on checked luggage?
any advice would be great

Hi Paul, they usually don't bother to charge you extra for check-in luggage when you are on business class, once I even payed to upgrade to business because it was cheaper than paying the extra weight. Also, I've always traveled with two pieces of carry-on luggage (laptop bag and wheelie bag with camera/housing) and they never complained.

Ya you should be fine with two if you are business class. They tend to give leeway of a pound or two on the 50 pound limit. I think you still get 70 pound limit in business class? And i believe anything less than 10 pounds over is only $25 extra. THird bag costs $100.
But, Manila airport is a pain in the ass!! So many security checks....
Thats good, more room for cheese for Melody and i.....

i'm not sure about CM out of Manila, but when I went through Guam from Palau To Chuuk a couple of weeks ago there was an embargo on, so the third peice of checked luggage I was traveling with, a Pelican with my housing, was not accepted. I had given the agent the $50 but he said he couldn't do it and gave me my money back. So I just went ahead and carried it on with my computer case and a camera backpack. No problems. And we were flying coach.
