  3. Hmmm - Lets start with number two and four, they have little impact for me. Number two is just two far away with the wrong set up - need a tighter macro shot. number 4 just has no impact and almost seems like a shift lens was used. The right and left sides appear that they should have the same depth of field but don't as the left side is out of focus and the right is , so I would throw those two out. The 1st one is really good. At first I thought crop the heck out of it to really focus on the horse but I like the surrounding it finds itself in, a good nature shot. I think I would crop the top of the really blurry area out and leave some of the surrounding space, I think an art director would like a more open shot so I would crop like 20% of the pic. You could make a second pic out of it by cropping a bunch. Overall I like the pic. The wreck shot is great but it really needs a diver. A little lower and a little closer shooting up with a diver or maybe a diver very close exploring it, a slave light with him/her would add some more to it. You could photoshop a diver in the back and take this from a good pic to a better pic.

  4. Great input. Would have no clue on how to paste a diver in, probably should read the manual. The 4th shot was taken with the 60mm and Macro Mate and still learning how it works. The tough thing about the pygmy shot was it was on a wall with a stiff current it was more luck than skill, again w/60mm and Macro Mate.

  5. Here ya go - slapped this guy in fast, a diver with a light would be really good

  6. Heeeyyyyy, isn't that cheating? :)

  7. The diver does help give scale. Joe I thought you guys did this trip already? I run short of words to explain how healthy, diverse and amazing the diving is there.

  8. Hey Martin,

We did Indonesia, but PNG is high on our list. Your shots make me want to go NOW. I just blew my wad on a new dive computer since my Edges are dying slow deaths. I cannot wait to get that lettle jewl wet. My next trip will be 10-days in Thailand and 10 more days at KBR, and MAYBE 1-week at Sipadan Water Village. How's that for a trip!! :(

Maybe we can coordinate a trip with you and your wife down the road.

    Joe

  9. 3weeks will be great, very jealous. Believe it or not we are starting to plan for 07. We leave for Thailand Feb 7th. Few days of dryland then a quick 5 day to the Similans.
