want help ordering aquatica for 20D

  1. Hello all -

I am finally set to order my Aquatica A20 for my Canon 20D. I will be shooting primarily with the Canon EFS 10-22 lens. I had two major questions.

Does anyone have endorsements for any Aquatica dealers or is B & H the best way to go when ordering the housing?

The second question is I want to make sure I order all the proper parts - so I want the A20 with dual cord outlets and the 8" dome. For the EFS 10-22 lens what is the best extension ring to get? I have heard it may be different than the one on the Aquatica chart. I also wanted to know if any diopters are necessary - I have heard a +2 diopter can help with corner softness with the 10-22. Any and all input on these questions is appreciated.

I am hoping to get my order in later this week...

    cheers!

  2. i just purchased a 20d housing from California Digital Diving. i think his prices are comparable to B&H although you'll have to pay sales tax -- decided that the personal advice and followup was worth while

  3. As far as Dealers underwater photo tech has a good rep as well as Ryan at Reef photo. As I own 2 Aquatica housings I'm not sure after the sale what anyone can do for you other than service them as they are bullet proof. Any good dealer should be able to do that. My best advice is get a Subal-I am sold on them. Mark

  4. There is also Mauricio Handler and Tom Stack, both sponsor and advertiser of Wetpixel and very knowledgeable peoples.

  5. If you buy from a wetpixel sponsor you will get great service and fast online support through the forum here. Also, when I was researching what system to buy I noticed that the sponsors give discounts that usually make their prices cheaper than B&H and others.
