DS200 anuncied in the Ikelite web.....

I've waiting for it months ago!!!!

Ikelite anounced the new DS200 in the web, but I don't read anything about the iTTL somebody know if it works in iTTL with the new circuit in the D70 housing?

Hi Mariano, I am assuming that the iTTL circuitry works with any DS strobe, but let's wait to hear what Ike has to say about it. I remember people mentioning that there is a switch to chose between the DS-50 and 125, so I don't know what happens when you have a 200.

The ikelite site is not working for me...

Hello Luiz, I updated my D70 housing and my DS125 to iTTL few weeks a go and I look the swich to DS50 and DS125...... thats the question make me ask about the iTTL with the new DS200....

I wonder also if the new DS 200 works with Matthias eTTL adapter as it works with the DS-125. I own a Canon 20D in subal housing.

Well, Mike, if Ikelite is shipping the strobe soon, you may have a chance to see one next month (but to play with it, you will have to pry it off my cold dead hands)

The 5D housing citcuitry is supposed to be TTL compatible with all 4 DS strobes: DS-50 80 125 and 200... The instructions that came with the housing say this as well as the info on the website.

The strobe selection switch on the 5D housing is still the same 50/125 that is found on older housings. The new strobes must work on one of thouse two settings on the 5D housing so I would suspect that the new strobes will work fine with older housings.

All DS (digital strobe) series work fine with conversion circuitry in our housings. I don't know about Matthias eTTL adapter, but should if DS-125 works. I guess I should reword site baloney to confirm that the SubStrobe 200 does iTTL and eTTL with our housing circuitry.

I have heard several people mention problems accessing the www.ikelite.com web site. I have no explanation, but would appreciate e-mail to ike@ikelite.com reporting any problems or mistakes I have made.
