D70 Firmware Upgrade

I finally got around to updating the firmware in my D70 but have encountered a problem. I have followed the instructions to the letter, have both the A and B .bin files but when I download them to the camera only the B firmware update is written. I still have version 1.01 for A. I have done this 3 times, but...

Any suggestions??

Updating with a compact flash card, a common problem is to put both A and B on the card at the same time. If you do, only B will install. So, following the instructions, first put just A on the card and upgrade. Then, put just B on the card and upgrade.
