This is from my first dive with my first underwater camera.
Canon S30. No strobe. No Filter. Whitebalance set to cloudy. Flash on. Aperature priority.

Nice shot.
One problem you have (actually your camera) is the dark shadow in the right low corner, it’s because the lens cover cylinder is blocked the internal flash. Its hapen a lot and the only solution for that is an external flash.

But that will get you even worth macro ability then you already have.
In the S30/40 the best macro is at wide as possible lens.
