Diving in the UK

3 posts
  1. I just moved to the UK from San Jose, CA. I miss diving quite a bit since Monterey was just a short drive away. Now I am here in Ipswich, UK.

Question is where can I go diving close by? I'm debating on if I should bring my dive gear over. drysuit, camera gear. Are there any other UK wetpixel divers interested in diving together?

    Thanks,

    Curtis

  2. Hi Curtis,

Ashamedly I haven't dived in the U.K for a while as I spent most of the last two years making my film in Malta. No excuses I know but that as my dad would say "its all I have" :P .

There is great diving to be had (U.K style, great) all over. Places I've been include Weymouth / Portland, all around Cornwall. Also Wales can be good, Pembrokeshire can be brilliant.

Probably best to search online for your nearest centre..

  3. HI Curtis,

I also like the blue stuff & I also live just up the road in

Bury St Edmunds 25 miles away. Their are two dive shops

in Ipswich Galaxy divers in Felixstowe Road & dive line in

St Johns Road. I go with a group from Galaxy & hopefully

will be able to do more with them this year. It may be worth

    a call.
