I ordered direct from germany, via fax and e-mail. It was a piece of cake to do.

I have a Kowalski torch and I did basically the same thing. I ordered from the UK distributor and he was responsive and very helpful.
BTW Eric, is your Hartenberger the little model (mini or medi) or one of the "compact" ones? I have a Kowalski Speed 620 and it might be a bit big to be used as a spotting lamp, though it is an absolutely awesome torch. Plus, being able to recharge it without having to open anything up is a big plus. Don't you use the spotting lamps on your DS-125s?

I have the 2nd smallest one. (the "maxi" compact electronic). It's fantastic -- variable power, and matte lens.
The spotting lamps on the DS-125s are a bit weak (I have the lower-power bulbs), so I don't find them to be that useful. With the higher-power bulbs, I don't think the strobes last that long (although, I have yet to do any definitive tests).
