D70 & SB-105

A friend of mine told me I can use my SB-105 with my D70 and Ike housing. I was wondering if anybody out there has done this? And are you happy with the results. He recomends that I shoot in manual and manual strobe so I do not have to worry about ittl.

If so, can I use a manual controller or is that useless?

I know I would need a different cord to change over to the housing, old one was for NikonosV.

Manual controler is only compatible with Ikeltie DS- strobes. Same with TTL.

You can use the strobe you have. But only with the on-strobe manual settings.
