Anybody have any recommendations for a 'family friendly' dive operation in Cairns. Some friends are planning a few days there with their two newly PADI certified children who are 12 and 14.
Thanks

Ones I know of
there of course is also Pro Dive Australia and Mike Ball ... but I don't recommend them as I don't know about them. I have heard good and bad about both.
And just a little bit further up the road there is Cape Tribulation with the Awesome Junle Diver and PK's jungle village ... if you have time ... well worth it.
When I was in Cairns I dove with Mike ball. I would recomend them 100% if the price does not scare you off.
I dove with Pro-Dive several times as well (not in cairns though) It was not nearly as nice as mike-ball but then you get what you pay for - It cost less than half of the mike-ball trip.
Thanks guys, I'll pass on the info.

Cairns Dive Centre is one to stay away from - another case of you get what you pay for. And they wouldn't be family friendly from my experience.
TUSA was great, yet still affordable.
I dove with Mike Ball.
I don't have a single bad thing to say about thier boat, crew, dives, food, etc.... Best dive trip ever.
We did a live aboard for three days with Pro Dive in Cairns and loved it. Can't compare with the other shops as only used them. Would have nothing bad to say about them. Several young people were getting certified at the time and they did a good job.
