Raw & Jpeg

  1. My images, both Raw and Jpeg look very different when viewed in Windows Viewer than Photoshop or Nikon capture, in fact they look better in Windows viewer than the other 2, in the other 2 they look flat compared to the viewer. I was going to show you with 2 images but like I had it converts to a flatter look and then you can't see what I mean, has anyone else come across this? I'll keep working on a way to show you with the images. Thx

  2. You can try doing a screen capture of each, using the "Print Scn" key next to the function keys at the top of the keyboard, and saving the captures as JPEGs before posting them.

  3. It probably isn't using the same profile as PS. Mine does the same thing. I rely on PS Adobe 1998 as my profile.

  4. It does sound like a colour profile problem, Patrick.

Make sure you convert the profile to working space when opening in Photoshop. That should help. Pictures taken in Adobe 1998 will look flat and washed out if viewed in software that does not convert their embedded colour profile.

  5. It was the color profile somehow I changed it, it's back now, thanks.
