What about this setup?

I recently switch from a sony dsc-p8 with marine housing mpk-pha to a oly c-8080 just to learn basics about lighting with strobes, aperture and obturation speed... so I figure i´m not ready to expend 6000 US$ in equipment that i don´t know how to use yet, i decided for this: oly c-8080 with pt-023 with connector for TTL of matthias Heinrichs with a ds-50 ike strobe. So beside negatives about pt-023 and slow AF on the c-8080, someone can give me a piece of his (her) mind about this setup? Tx.
