  2. Nice shots Augusto, my favourite is the wrasse. How did you like the housing? I hear it is smaller than the previous Sea&Sea housings.

  3. Hi Luiz, thanks!

The housing is great, a litle positive but the commands are very nice . The only problem is when on M mode it´s necessary to press and hold a botton on top of the housing to change the aperture, because is on the same dial of the shutter and it´s not very user friendly..

Now I´m waiting for the converter that Sea & Sea made to use the iTTL, it´s not on USA yet.

    Regards

  4. Hi Augusto:

Yeah you explained the main reason why the d50 is a tough choice UW and even on land to change aperature and shutter speeds effeciently, it is designed for people that don't usually do that. I don't know your history with other cameras or UW photograohy so I am kind of assuming you may be a beginner using the d50, however I will say that your pics look like you have read a lot of US photography books or at least looked at a lot of pictures. I like your composition on the wide angles. I think your going to find that you may wish you bought a different camera, the first thing I thought when I saw your pics were why did he buy this camera I think you will quickly outgrow it but you can also get used to it. Arperature Priority mode may be the way to go as you have up to 1/500th for flash sync, then you won't have to worry about button pressing to go between shutter and aperature setting in manual.

I am not going to get real particular with each picture as the conditions were not the best but I was impressed with the composition especially the wreck and the last one on the right very good. Use these principles in the right conditions and with the right subject matter and you will get some really good stuff. On your wreck picture use photoshops auto levels and it should come out a little cleaner for you.

    Look forward to more stuff

  5. Hi Steve, thanks for your words.

    Before I buy the D50 I had a Nikon N80 on Hugyfot housing, it´s a great camera.

The D50 it´s very good camera too and also a very low cost. My idea is to use this camera on aperture priority as you told but as the strobes and sync cord from Sea & Sea do not support the iTTL the D50 do not understand that has a strobe connected and if I use the Aperture mode with a f11 , for example, the camera fix a slow shutter to compensate

The Sea & Sea has just made a converter to fix this problem, but I´m waiting to starts the sale on USA.

I´ll try to use the auto levels on wreck picture.

    Thanks!
