New gear

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but I just had to share my excitement.

Yesterday I ordered an Ikelite housing and DS-125 strobe kit for my Oly E-300 I am definately a novice, so this will be an expensive 2-3 times a year hobby but I love it.

I look forward to trying to figure this rig out next month in Cozumel.

It is a steep learning curve for me going from a compact P&S to this dSLR, but I have found a lot of good advice here on Wetpixel and hope to be able to get a few decent shots in the future.

I'm sure this will be a long week waiting for delivery.....

I know how you're feeling. I've been biding my time getting ready for the big leap by reading on Wetpixel, UWphotography, dpreview ... Like organising a holiday, planning is half the fun but nothing beats the real thing.

I could not agree more. I have my gear all packed up ready to go on a trip in 2 weeks...I keep pulling it out of the case and looking at it though, fun stuff!

great feeling huh? i love it too! just had a great deal and went for the slr... yum yum! i loved my p&s though... still have it and will probably keep it too.
