Alternative battery source for lights

Hi everyone! First, thanks for all the great information. I have purchased a Light and Motion Bluefin hpousing for my A1U. I have one for my PD 100 and like it with the exception of the battery burn time and leak prone pods. Initial dives with the unit we have experimented with a Salvo HID lights/canister battery setup (similar to Halcyons). First run opinion the Salvo HID lights don't make the colors "pop" as well as the LM Pro HID lights. The burn times however are great. Has anyone tried using an alternative battery source for the LM Pro lights? Any ideas would be appreciated.
