  1. I'm in Sydney on a last minute business trip. I did not have time to pack any dive gear. No camera, no video, no anything.

I do need to stay close to Sydney so the GBR is out of the question. (If I finish my work early!) Any recommended dive sites? Any recommended dive companies based in Sydney?

Any other wetpixeliers out in this area?

    Curtis

  2. If you can get past the truly awful webpage... I dove with Atlantis Divers in Barrenjoey (about 3/4 of an hour drive north of Sydney CBD) once, and had a good time. They have all the rental equipment you could desire.

There's a reasonable number of dive shops in Sydney, any one of them should be able to hook you up with something.

  3. Hi Curtis,

I've been in the same situation a couple of times. I've dived with Pro Dive Sydney, and found them to be both professional and friendly. The staff is knowledgeable about the area and very helpful. Captain Phil in particular is one of the nicest guys I've dived with.

    Check out:

and follow the Day Trips link at the top.

In terms of dive sites, The Apartments and Magic Point. Not sure about others, as I didn't get to do so many dives.

    Cheers,

    Mat

  4. If you have the ability to get a little out of Sydney I'd highly recommend Jervis Bay (2hrs south) or Port stephens (2hrs north)

  5. This weekend was pretty full but I managed to get a spot with Pro Adventures. 2 tank dive in the afternoon. Hope the weather clears up.

now I just wish I had my uw housing.... Write more later on the dive.

    Curtis
