My last works...

  1. Hello Gang,

I know it's quite some time since my last post here as I am heavily engaged with my studies and the weekly updates on digideep.com. But I found a few minutes to catch some feedback for these shots. I know they cannot really compete with the light effects in Bob's (cybergoldfish) Bubble Anemone, but I really like the light effects behind that triggerfish. However, nothing had to be edited/leveled on that photo. It's taken right away from my camera:

Another great encounter was this turtle on a nightdive at Sataya. It was so nosy that it bumbed into my lens several times, checking it's own mirrored reflection:

  2. The picture of the Titan has a deffinate Yin/Yang feel about it and the camera has negociated the balance between the two very well.

This Turtle on Sataya (Dolphin Reef - Fury Shoal) is a legend in its own lifetime! He has in fact appeared in almost identical pose on the front of UK's Dive magazine some months ago. Again the camera has coped well with the exposure and produced some stunning detail.

  3. Hi Bob, it's very nice to catch such nice feedback from a master-of-arts for this :)

You were asking for my camera equipment. It is [still] a Nikon Coolpix 990

in a UK-Germany housing with two subtronic alpha pro strobes.

Plan to go digital SLR in the far future...

If you liked these shots check our stock photography at atscuba.com with all

camera settings and comments. Are you shooting for any magazins?

  4. Uwe has recommended I buy 2 of the Subtronic Gamma strobes for my Dynax 9 kit but they are a crazy price $3000.00 for the pair! I think I will go with the Minolta HSS 5600's in housings instead just $1200 and these sync at upto 1/12000 second.

I am shooting for most dive mags in one form or another to support articles by myself or others. Lots of pictures requested for books too, several of the new AsiaPacific guide publications and of course the scientific stuff.

Just checked out your pix at the site: Nice to see my old haunts are bearing up to the onslaught. I was responsible for finding most of the Reefs in St. John during the early 90's with a Swiss Colleague - great days.

Sha'ab Haaman (Named after one of the original crew) was probably the greatest with the legions of hammerheads and the impressive gorgonian forests on the rear face. Fortunately most operators don't know where the others are located.

Sha'ab Maksur - Beautiful site and very similar to Elphinstone for hammers, but the corals on the south plateau are just gorgeous. Good for Dolphin too, as the Sataya pod hunts there.

I'll post a Red Sea Selection when I finally get my images back from various publishing houses... Several will look familiar to you.
