I shoot video with a Sony DCR-PC105 and an ikelite housing with the sony wide angle lens. How often should I have maint. done to the cam to keep the video quality as good as possible? Where would I send it to have this type of work done?
On my final DVD's there are frames every so often that pixelate. Is ths from the Camera? From my editing? DVD burning?
What format do most TV doccumentaries shoot? What kind of cameras do they tend to use? Would mine shoot ok video for that? Is HD the way to go? or is a better dv camcorder sufficient?
Thanks a ton for any advice
Adam

There's a Sony factory service center in Scottsdale AZ. Don't know where you're located, but that's where I've sent mine in the past. Here's the link for more info:

If you're using Firewire to transfer your video then probably your computer is too slow or underpowered to keep up during the DVD burn process. It may help to shut down every other process on your computer during DVD burning. Including any antivirus or internet related programs. You want to minimize any disk I/0 that's not related to the burn.
