underwater case

Just curious. I read somewhere that a diver sticks his handheld VHF radio inside a waterproof case while he's diving so that if there's ever any problem finding the boat, he can call the boat on the radio. I thought this was a rather unique idea but when I look for waterproof cases most do not specify an depth rating. Any suggestions?
