OLYMPUS 8080 and DS-125

HELP! I recently received my DS-125 and have attached it using the sycn cord to my Ikelite Oly 8080 housing with a TTL sync cord. All the other settings work well but when I try it using the FULL setting the strobe would not fire in syc with the camera and I just get a black photo. Will test it underwater this weekend so wondering if anyone could help me before my trip.

Sounds like the strobe is fireing on both the preflash and the primary flash signals.

Does your camera have a setting that will disable the preflash?

Set the strobe to TTL. Full is full for preflash, no good!

Danny. If you get Ikelite's manual controler, you will be able to ignore the preflash, so you will be able to get full power out of the stobe. Plus it wil double you battery life.

Do you have sync mode in slow / slow 1?
