I recently received my Bluefin HD housing (and a superb housing it is), and I wonder what you use as a flat port protection for this housing during transportation/setup. I do not think that the housing comes with any port protection, at least mine didn't.
Sincerely
Anders
I use some packing foam with a cut out in it.
You can get a wetsuit shop to make you a lens cover in neoprene
Thanks, both are great ideas that I will look into...
Nick, as you see I ended up with a Bluefin HD housing. I really like it, plus I got an offer I could not refuse...
Anders
Hey Anders,
I presume that they must have forgotten the part when they packed it for you?
All four of my lenses from L & M came with a great little rubber cap which slots securely over the lens front.......
Give them a shout and I'm sure that they'll (eventually ) pop your forgotten free accessory into the post for you.......
Chris
Chris,
Not this time. They did not yet build lens covers but are working on them- funny built the lens but no cover. My hope is that they will send nice lens covers to all the customers free of charge. (and yes, my prior lens for the 950 L&M did have covers)

That seems pretty reasonable. I'm checking into it. -Barrett
Talked to the L&M folks today. Lens covers are in swing. They will be sending out to all Bluefin customers when they arrive (no charge).
Covers are now available for both the 80 degree wide angle and the flat ports. Since most of our housings go through dealers and some number of people tend not to register, it would be best to shoot us an email through http://www.uwimaging.com/us/about_us.htm or you can send me an email through wetpixel.com to acquire the covers.
