As promised, here is a sunball shot with the Nikon D2H. I took this shot with the idea of creating the worst possible scenario: clear shallow water, sun unblocked and directly at the sensor, the full sunball occupying a prominent portion of the frame.
I'll let you draw your own conclusions but the result was better than I would have expected from my Fuji S2 but certainly not sunball nirvana - I'm not sure there is a camera today that gets us there.
Nikon D2H, Aquatica D2X housing, Nikon 10.5 w 2X SB105.

One interesting point: I can shoot up to 1/320th with my SB105s
