New scooter mounted HMI-light

1 posts
  1. I spoke to Rodney at Silent Submersion this week, and he is building HMI-lights now that will be available in October. The 200W HMI lights are powered directly from the scooter batteries through a special nose cone with bulk head (to prevent damage to scooter if it gets gets flooded through the E/O cord entry into the scooter). Mounted on SS video-mounts, the light can be swiweled 360 degrees as well. The HMI-light is switchable on the fly between 125 and 200 Watts, and has a maximum output of 15000 lumen/light @ 5600K. Burn-time is 70-200+ minutes when powered from the scooters lead-acid batteries. This HMI-setup might work on regular Gavin scooters as well, but that info is better checked with Rodney himself.

A demo video of the HMI-lights can be seen at:

I think this is a very interesting solution. With the right conversion, you would even be able to run dual Halcyon Apollo 50W HID lights from the scooter batteries as well, which would extend the possible burn-time significantly.
