  1. Hi everyone !

I just got my flights to Bali for this coming October :) I will be there for about three weeks.I am planinng to be moving around and to try to visit all the different locations around the island.

I would like to know where are the best dive areas in Bali and if you recomend any specific dive operator?

Thanks again for all your help

  2. Hi David,

I've spent 10 days at Scuba Seraya in the Northeast, near Tulamben, around Christmas. I'd recommend that you spend some time in that area (say 1 out of 3 weeks?). It's great for both macro and WA. Don't miss out on night dives at Seraya Secrets, in particular.

You should also spend some time in the Nusa Penida area. It's a bit late in the season for that, but you may get lucky and see some Mola Mola.

    Cheers,

    Mat

  3. Secret Bay is another classic spot. But be aware that the water is freezing cold there!

  4. You could join myself and Tim Rock for our Photo Workshop at Scuba Seraya Oct 12-19....

  5. If you are looking for an operator in Bali I can highly recommend Graham at diving4images.com. He's been on Bali for about 4-5 years and knows all the dive areas. He was formally at Wakatobi for a year of so. He leads dive trips on various boats out of Bali as well.

Tulamben, Secret Bay, Seraya, Menjangan, Nusa Penida

  6. One the same topic does anyone have a suggestion for an op to do the Liberty wreck. Also can it be done easily as a one day dive from shore?

  7. The stern of the Liberty wreck is about 50' offshore and is an easy beach dive. You can rent tanks "across the street" at the big dive shop there - I think it's called Tulamben Wreck Divers.

    Cheers

  8. PM me for a local operation that is great, and extremely well priced. I just would like to support the Balinese in the industry. I've sent a dozen people to my favorite guide, and all have raved about his expertise.

    Cheers,

    Marli
