I have recently added a new feature to my website: Online articles.
I write quite a lot of articles, but people don't often get to see them - if they don't live in the regions where the magazine's I write for are distributed. So in the same way that we all share our images on our websites, I thought it might be a good idea to share a few articles:
My aim was to share the words of the articles - and I have tended to illustrate them with small images and pix of the spreads from the magazine. While this reduces the impact of the articles online, it does preserve a reason to buy the magazines!

Alex, I think this is a great idea. There is no way that one person can get to every article in every publication. This can bring those articles by a recognized person to one easy to find, consice forum. Though, IMHO, I disagree that the pictures take away from an on-line article. I have skipped reading news articles because I wanted a picture to accompany the story. After all, this is why I got into underwater photography, to see things I can't see on land and bring those images to those who haven't been underwater.
Good idea to gather all this information in one place.
Just one remark, if the image or diagram is important to the content it's will be better to have it in size that can be viewed and contribute, less that in the original magazine but still contribute.
Usually it’s from past magazine so it won't affect much if at all.
Alex
thanks for wanting to share your articles. there is certainly no way any of us could subscribe or have access to many of these magazines. I do agree with IMSushi and Arnon that I wouldn't want really small pictures or diagrams, especially if they were to illustrate an important point.
I imagine there would be a delay (say a couple of months) from the time of the magazine publication to the time you place the article on the web. I will still be waiting anxiously to see the next article but it will give you and all others who are pros to make your money you deserve.
Also, i don't know if magazines companies would have an issue with you publishing your articles, rather than them making money off of it.
Thanks for the comments. Yep I think it might be a good idea to have the images clickable - so they open up larger versions.
