Sea&sea Compact dome for nikon 10,5mm?

I have Nikon 10,5mm and Nikon 12-24mm.

I want to buy only 1 dome for both of these lens.

I prefere to buy the compact dome because of the dimension/size of this dome (compare to the fisheye dome) is quite small.

However, im not sure if i can use the nikon 10,5mm with this compact dome.

Can anyone please give me some advise?

Thank you in advance

Andree

The 10.5mm matches with the compact domeport very well. It is the 12-24mm that I used to have problem with. You will definitely need a diopter if you use the compact domeport with 12-24mm and I was never quite satisfied with the result. I almost bought the big fisheye domeport for the 12-24mm but then I switched to Subal when D2X came out so I never tried Sea and Sea big dome.

Mr. ssra30

thx you for your answer.

However, i still dont really understand... why you never satisfied with the result?

is it because of the vigneting? or focusing problem?? please explain it.

And why do i need a diopter if i want to use the compact dome port with nikon 12-24?

Sorry to troble you Mr. Ssra30

When I was using D70 with Sea and Sea housing, I found that without a diopter, using the compact domeport with the extension ring that Sea and Sea recommended, I could not focus on anything closer than about a meter or so away. To get closer, I tried 2+ and 4+ diopter and never like the result very much, lots of distortion around the peripheral.
