Cozumel Photos

  1. First the exuses... ;) This was my first ocean, open-water experience with my digital camera. I had taken it in the pool several times and also the local fresh water sites trying to become somewhat competent with the controls. I'm not sure if every place offers the photographic challenges of Cozumel but it was extremely hard to get a good composition. Not only were most of the subjects camera shy, the current made a second shot impossible on some occasions. I did manage to find an eddy or two and there were a couple of slower drift dives. All in all, I was happy with the camera results. My compositions weren't bad but I had several shots that were near misses. I also found myself addicted to the WA reef shots. Overall, I have a new found respect for what many on here make look so easy. It is unbelievably difficult to frame that perfect shot. Furthermore, making sure your camera settings are correct is paramount to success. I'll leave you with the address of my photos. Please feel free to comment. B)

    Thanks,

    Gary
