Who put the starfish in the soft coral?

Would it have looked better if part of the Starfish had not been cut off?
I like the contrast in texture and color, good idea.
But it appears overexposed, so the softcoral detail cannot be seen.
You either show the whole star fish, or just an extreme macro of one or two arms near the center of the starfish with soft coral sticking out here and there. It becomes more abstract. With such extreme macro, you get more detail of color and texture.
Please guy's, there is no excuse for man handling marine life in order to obtain an unnatural image.
That could be an interesting thread Cybergoldfish. I agree with you. Marine life should not be moved in order to get a photo that one claim to be natural. You may have heard about the photo that appeared in the National Geographic (I am not sure about the details) on a hawk (?) that flew down and caught a rat (?). The rat was an imported lab-rat... Of course they found out and I guess that photographer's credibility went through the floor. But how many nudis in the nudi branch books/other literature were moved? When a macro photographer stick up his lense and strobes in the face of a goby, is that 'handling marine life'?
It would be an interesting thread. But c'mon, man handling marine life for the benefit of the photographer.....thats not on. Use your grahical software like everyone else!
