Flounder gets Garden Eel

12 posts
  1. At the beginning of a dive in Little Cayman a few weeks ago as soon as I dropped down to the sand, I saw a flounder hunting with a jack shadowing it. Before I could get real close the flounder reared up in water and hit the sand and came up with a garden eel. The photos are below; not great quality but a great moment to see and capture underwater.

  7. So for me to get close top a garden eel all I need to do is sit burried in sand? Excellenttttt.

  8. LOL, Joe. The flounder was actually hunting and pretty much ignoring me. I was moving closer as it reared up a bit and dove its head into the sand, coming up with the eel.

  12. Great shot! It's especially impressive because we all know how difficult it is to even get close to a garden eel! Thanks for posting the photos!
