I have been having some fun with my 18-35mm lens, though I feel it is lacking the crispness that makes shots taken with my 60mm really sweet. (It could be the photographer !?! ) ... Anyway, I thought I'd try a prime 18mm lens.
Now I've done some looking I have a question ... what is the practical difference between the 18 and 20mm Nikkor lenses ?
In particular - what makes it worthwhile to pay more than twice the 20mm price for the 18mm?
thanks
Leander
The short answer: 2mm
The Nikkor 20mm is very very sharp. So is the 18mm. So the difference I think is really just the angle of view.

what James said.
Actually, I switched to the 20mm years ago because I felt it was sharper. Lately, I've used it so little I've almost forgotten I have it.....
