My picture that I entered into the POTW contest labeled "Garibaldi Protecting his Swim Through", about 12 from the top, loaded to the page in much worse condition than the original on my computer screen. I have a 20' flat screen iMac. My original photo is in focus, clear and well lit. When I looked back at the downloaded version on this site it is out of focus and has a wierd white haze over everything. Any ideas as to what hapened?
If you could, go back to the POTW and take a look. I would greatly appreciate any feed back as to what I can do to improve my download...and the picture itself while we are at it. I would repost the picture here, but I haven't found the directions on how to post a picture in the gallery. Thanks!

What size was the image you uploaded?
(if it was bigger than 640 pixels in its long dimension, it was resized to 640 in its long dimension. Without running an unsharp mask filter, the resulting smaller image can look slightly blurry.)
Did you embed a color profile in the image?
(pc gamma is lower than mac gamma which will make a mac image look dark on a pc screen; maybe, the same macro that resized your image also bumped up its brightness to compensate on pc screens?)
