  1. i am searching the adobe forums but thought i'd ask all of you as well:

does anyone know if i can use my photoshop license to run PS on a mac and a windows machine (of course within the limits of the max 2 simultaneous machines)?

thanks for the info and help/paul

  2. for those who are interested i found the answer to my question:

    it's not possible.

    extract from the eula:

    "...

If you own, or are the primary user of a single-user Adobe branded or Macromedia branded product that is installed on a computer at work, you can also install and use the software on one secondary computer of the same platform at home or on a portable computer. However, you may not run the software simultaneously on both the primary and secondary computers.

    ...

    "

  3. Actually if you call Adobe customer support they can sell you a cross-platform license. It's not all that expensive either, maybe $75 or so.

  4. substantially less actually. My CS2 change-over from PC to MAC is $5 handling and tax of $.85.

Total cost shipping included of $5.85.

I am going to do the same for my AfterEffects, but since I am on 6.5Pro, will have to upgrade at a cost of $199.

2 things. 1. you must destroy the "other" platform version, and 2. you can only do 5 platform transfers lifetime.

  5. thanks for the additional info, it's good to know :)
